would like to tell you about my experience with The Curb Depot of Appleton, Wisconsin. I live in Mosinee, Wisconsin, which is 10 miles south of Wausau. On a trip to North Dakota in July we stopped at a friend's house in Fargo, on this day he was having decorative concrete curbing installed at his house. He said this company was always busy and it had taken two months before they could come to his home.
When I got back to Mosinee, I started talking with a business owner in the Wausau area and found out there was not a company around which was providing this service. I began to research on the internet and found a few companies which sold curbing equipment, one of which was The Curb Depot in Appleton, Wisconsin. Due to the close proximity of Mosinee and Appleton (90 miles) I gave them a call. I talked with Shane and was very impressed with his presentation and set up an appointment to visit them in Appleton. While there, Shane went over the equipment with me, we also watched the process being completed by a company, Curb Appeal. I was very impressed and decided this was the business for me. Within six weeks I had my two days of training and my equipment, this was the middle of September 2006. Now it is the second week in October and I have completed six jobs and have five more lined up for the spring, I haven't even started to advertise yet. I have been doing this part-time this fall on my days off from my daytime job, but I plan on going to some Home & Garden shows this winter and quitting my job this spring to run this business full time.
I believe this is the best decision I have made and am already looking into expanding my business with more equipment. I also have a friend who is helping me this fall and has now decided to buy equipment from The Curb Depot and move to Minnesota and start his own business in the spring.
The Curb Depot has been nothing but professional and willing to help. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking into the curbing business.
